Lutheran congregations across the length and breadth of Nigeria through their ministers, delegates, members of the boards of directors and trustees, Institutions and observers will, as usual, gather to take stock of their spiritual and administrative activities for the past year and brainstorm on the way forward in the upcoming year.
The gathering, officially referred to as “the LCN Regular Council” enters its 44th annual sitting from Friday, Nov. 24th through Sunday, 26th, 2023.
The event, to be presided over by the Archbishop and National President of the church, Most Rev. Dr. Christian Ekong will be preceded by the Ministerial Conference of the church on Thursday, November 23rd.
A statement by the Publicity Sub-committee approved by the chairman, central planning committee, Elder Effiong Essien indicates that the venue for the annual Meet is the prestigious Luther Cathedral of the Headquarters of the church in Obot-Idim, Ibesikpo Asutan LGA of Akwa Ibom State.
The statement adds that the Council which is the highest decision making body of the church will operate under the theme “CHRIST FOR YOU”.
It prays God’s journey mercies for every attendee and successful deliberations during the 3-day Council.
